IDEA258D: Explorations in Design
Teaching a course at the University of Maryland giving students the opportunity to apply their unique backgrounds to the realm of design. Students engage in hands-on learning with real-world applications to incorporate design thinking into everyday life, and develop a final project to pitch at the end of the semester. Generated portable front-end code for data visualization of Facebook user sentiment classification models for a new feature on the Ethi dashboard. Front-end (Javascript, D3.js), and back-end (Flask, Python). See a demo of the feature here.
